THE PROJECT
IRIDIUM DOORS recently completed a bespoke project for a leading high-speed train maintenance company. The project required the design, production and installation of a ten-leaf PERSEO folding door, with total dimensions of 10 metres in length by 6 metres in height, to optimise access to the train's maintenance areas.
The choice of the PERSEO folding door was dictated by the need to optimise operational space and ensure safe and efficient access to working areas. The design was developed by our technical department, in close collaboration with the customer, to suit the specific requirements of the site. The door, which does not have a ground track, allows smooth and safe sliding, with reduced space requirements and minimal maintenance. This design is intended to promote operational efficiency and minimise maintenance costs.
PERSEO folding doors by IRIDIUM DOORS are distinctive for the high quality of their materials and the care taken in their manufacture. Customisable with or without ground track and with all numbers of leaves measuring a total thickness of 52 mm, they exhibit smooth surfaces with no visible joints or welds, giving the product an elegant appearance and superior durability. The Sendzimir galvanised steel perimeter frame (20/10 thick) and the 8/10 hot-dip galvanised sheet metal cladding offer effective protection against weather and wear. In addition, the interior insulation, made of CFC-free polyurethane foam, guarantees high energy efficiency while respecting the environment.
The PERSEO folding door by IRIDIUM DOORS offers safety, durability and efficiency. EPDM gaskets protect against weathering and prevent crushing. Adjustable aluminium hinges and a galvanised track with steel carriages ensure smooth sliding. Installation meets to railway standards.
